The Bulldogs headed to Fort Erie to face the Buffalo Regals in their final game of the regular season.  The Regals got ahead first scoring late in the first period to go up 1-0, despite the Bulldogs controlling the play for most of the period.  The home team added another two goals in the second period to take a 3-0 lead.  The Bulldogs kept the pressure up and added two goals in the third period to see themselves down 3-2 with under 3 minutes to play.  The Bulldogs put many pucks to the net but couldn't capitalize as they fell to the Regals 3-2. The Bulldogs travelled to Brampton to take on the 45's for one of their final two regular season games.  The Bulldogs came out strong and kept the pressure on right off the first shift and scored 25 seconds into the game.  They than added two more goals in the period to head into the second, up 3-0.  The boys added another two goals to take a commanding 5-0 lead.  The 45's scored late in the frame,  to cut the Bulldogs lead to 5-1.  The 45's managed to add some pressure late scoring two goals in the final period, but it was the Bulldogs who prevailed and skated to a 6-3 win on the night. The Bulldogs travelled to Milton to take on the first place Halton Hurricanes Saturday afternoon.  The home team got out early and often scoring  3 goals to take a 3-0 lead heading into the second period.  The Hurricanes added another 4 goals in the second to take a commanding 7-0 lead.  The Bulldogs battled hard in the third but couldn't create any offence as Hurricanes took the game with a final score of 7-0.  TOP DOG honors went to #6 Tocher.

The Novice Bulldogs traveled to Oakville to take on the 3rd place Rangers Friday night.  The boys came out with a strong solid effort, right off of the first face off.  They applied a steady amount of pressure in the first, but came up with nothing to show for their efforts. The first period finished with both teams tied 0-0.  The Rangers scored first early in the 2nd period to take a 1-0 lead.  The Bulldogs answered back near the end of the frame to tie the game up a 1-1.  The team dug deep and scored two more unanswered goals to skate to a 3-1 win on the road.  Read More

On Tuesday night, they Bulldogs hosted the Halton Hurricanes.  The Hurricanes went up 1-0 late in the first.  The home team added 1 and the visitors added another two which saw Halton up 2-1 after 2 periods.  The Hurricanes added another two goals in the third to take the game 5-1.  TOP DOG honors go to #76 Brennan for his great effort at both ends of the ice.

The Bulldogs took on the Admirals Tuesday night in their first of two meetings versus Southern Tier this week.  The Admirals came out with a strong effort in all periods of play and saw the visitors skate away with a 5-1 win.  The two teams met Saturday afternoon in Welland for the rematch.  The home team struck first in the third scoring on a goal mouth scramble.  The Bulldogs later tied it up with a nice goal in tight to tie things up a 1-1.  The back and forth game would end in a tie.  Congratulation on TOP DOG honors #87 Ben Lamb.

The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs played over the weekend in the 60th Annual Preston International Hockey tournament.  The team played three close games losing to Clarington 3-2, Barrie 4-3 and tied Oakville 4-4. Unfortunately, the team did not advance to the quarter finals on Saturday afternoon.  Two players from the Bulldogs were selected to represent the team in an All-Star game Sunday afternoon.  Congratulations to #8 Strauch and #13 Hunks on the tournament All-Star honors.

The Novice Bulldogs hosted the Oakville Rangers Tuesday night to play their first game back after the holiday break.  The Bulldogs opened up the scoring a few minutes into the first but the Rangers answered back with two goals of their own, heading into the 2nd period up 2-1.  Both teams added a goal a piece in the 2nd period and the Bulldogs saw themselves down 3-2 heading into the 3rd.  The Bulldogs added Three goals in the third to leap past the Rangers with a final score of 5-4.  It was a big character team win for the group and a great way to start off 2018.  TOP Dog honors went to #4 Campbell for his great defensive play.
