Look What We Can Do Together - HJB U11 Mission Services Food Drive
Submitted By Dianne Skirving on Wednesday, December 8, 2021
Our U11 Jr. Bulldogs Team are very busy on and off the ice as kids are at that age …..but all the boys took time out during their busy weekend at the 29th Annual HJB Classic and set up a table to collect food donations in between their tournament games at Gateway Ice Centre.

All the U11 Players each took turns canvassing for donations at Gateway and collected an incredible amount of non-perishable food and toiletry donations, and in addition, raised just over $700 in cash funds for Mission Services.   These donations will definitely benefit our community this season.

While hockey provides kids with opportunities to learn about dedication, hard work, commitment, and teamwork, it also provides life lessons and the importance of giving back to the community. The HJB U11 Team not only learned the value of working as a Team in their tournament games over the weekend,  but they also learned the value of working as a Team in achieving an important goal to give back to those in need, not just this month but all year round.

The HJB Ull Team would like to give a big thank you to all the participants at the 29th Annual HJB Classic for their generous donations and contributions to this great initiative.
