The HJB Minor Bantam 2005 Claim the Toronto Red Wing Earlybird Championship
Submitted By Dianne Skirving on Sunday, September 09, 2018
The HJB Minor Bantam Team is off to a strong start in their 2018-19 hockey season by winning the Toronto Red Wing Earlybird Championship.

The Minor Bantam Division in the Red Wing Earlybird Tourney was made up of 44 Teams.  The Minor Bantam Jr. Bulldogs went undefeated in the preliminary round winning games 2 to 1 over Mississauga Rebels, 3 to 2 over York Simcoe Express, 3 to 0 over Clarington Toros and tying Mississauga Senators 1 to 1. In the Quarter Finals they went up against a strong London Knights Team and came away with a 3 to 1 victory and then off to the Semi-Finals to face the Toronto Marlboros for a close game ending in a 2 to 1 win.

In the Championship Game the HJB Minor Bantams went head to head for the second time against the Mississauga Rebels and successfully defeated them 4 to 2 to take home the Championship Trophy.

The HJB Minor Bantam Coaching Staff are very proud of these young men and the effort and intensity that they gave all weekend long.

Congratulations to Head Coach Chris Gratton, his Bench Staff and the Players for their hard fought Championship!
