NEWS RELEASE - Red “Control” Impact to City Recreation Program

NOVEMBER 15 2020 HAMILTON, ON 

Tomorrow morning at 12:01 am, the City of Hamilton will officially enter the Red “Control” category within the Provincial COVID-19 Response Framework. As a result, a number of changes are required to current recreation programming in Hamilton.

There are more specific changes to those organization affiliated with a Provincial Sport Organization (PSO). In particular for the ice users and activities within the arenas in the City of Hamilton the following restrictions are now to be followed:  

 

  • Facility capacity (50 person limit; including twin pad and Mohawk 4-Ice Centre)
  • Numbers permitted on ice (25)
  • No spectators
  • No Scrimmages or Game play
  • Changes to screening requirements
