HJB’s VIRTUAL 2020 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
With the evolving COVID-19 pandemic, and with the uncertainty
surrounding public gatherings, and in the interest of safeguarding the safety
of our HJB Membership, Board and Staff, the decision has been made to host the
2020 HJB AGM virtually online.
This virtual online meeting will address only the essential business necessary under our By-laws and Regulations and as required under the Ontario Corporations Act. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is a meeting that takes place every year. It is open to the Membership of the Greater Hamilton AAA Hockey Club (Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs) and all of our Membership is encouraged to attend.
Our Board of Directors will share the Annual Report for the financial year of 2019-20 and present reports from the Board of Directors of this past season and will highlight our ongoing commitment to our Membership. The AGM provides all of our Members with the opportunity to personally engage with the Board of Directors.
At the AGM, elections of the new Members of the Board of Directors for 2020-21 takes place. This is the time that amendments of the Constitution can be put forward by the Membership to be voted on by the Membership. The Constitution can be located on the HJB Website by clicking on the “Information Tab”.

With the transition to a virtual online format, all HJB Members Contacts will be provided information by an email invitation from the HJB including a link to complete an online registration form to participate in HJB’s 2020 AGM taking place on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 7:30pm. The registration deadline is in advance of Tuesday, November 10, 2020. The call for nominations for the HJB Board of Directors is for a 2-year term for all positions listed below:
1) President
2) Vice-President of Hockey Operations
3) Director of Purchasing and Sponsorship

8. BOARD OF DIRECTORS
8.1 Composition
a. Eligibility:
i. Shall be eighteen (18) years of age or older.
ii. Shall not be an undischarged bankrupt or of unsound mind.
iii. Shall be a member of the association at the time of his or her election.
iv. Shall remain a member of the association throughout his or her term of office.
v. The President, Vice-President Administration, and Vice-President Hockey Operations must have served as a director for a period of one or more years to be eligible for the position.
