The Ontario Hockey Federation would like to remind all Minor Hockey Associations, Coaches and Parents to remove shoulder and chest pads, padded pants and hockey gear prior to placing children in car seats.

Hockey gear is not designed to be worn in a car seat and will significantly impact the harness or seat belt fit reducing its effectiveness.

Please read the attached Gearing up for the season: Hockey Gear & Car Seats from the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario.
