Submitted By Dianne Skirving on Saturday, November 30, 2019
The Annual CTA and STA Midget All-Star Game took place on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 3:30pm at Central Arena in Burlington, ON.

The Midget All-Star Teams were made up of selected players from the CTA (Brampton 45s, Grey-Bruce Highlanders, Halton Hurricanes and Oakville) and the STA (Buffalo Regals, Burlington Eagles, Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs, Niagara North Stars and Southern Tier Admirals) of the SCTA League.

HJB Midgets Playing in the All-Star Game:
L to R - Liam O'Dell, Isaac Faccio and Jacob Bramwell

Once again it was a very close and exciting game with the first goal being scored by the STA in the 1st period with the CTA tying it up just before the end of the period.  The game broke open in the second period with both teams scoring 2 goals each for a 3-3 tie going in the 3rd period.  Both teams played a close checking 3rd period with the goaltenders making many outstanding saves which resulted with no goals scored and triggering a sudden death 5-minute 3 on 3 overtime period.  At the end of the 5-minute overtime with the score still tied the game went into a shoot-out.  The STA scored the winning goal to take the game 4 to 3.

At the end of the game the SCTA Selection Panel met to make the selections of the Players who will represent the SCTA Midget All-Star Team when they play against the ETA Midget All-Star Team at the SCTA & ETA Minor Midget Showcase taking place this coming weekend – December 6 to 8, 2019 at 16-Mile Creek in Oakville.

Isaac Faccio – Forward and Jacob Bramwell – Defense have been selected and will be representing the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs on the SCTA Midget All-Star Team.

The SCTA Midget All-Star Team will face off against the ETA Midget All-Star Team on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at 12:00 PM during the SCTA Minor Midget Showcase taking place at the 16 Mile Sports Complex in Oakville.
