HJB Minor Midgets Run For The Cure
This past Sunday the HJB Minor
Midget Team participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure raising over $2000 for
breast cancer.
A lot of people who ran For the Cure
were there with their family members, there with people who are going through
it and there with people who are survivors.
The HJB Minor Midget Team ran to support their Teammate and his Family
whose Mom is currently battling this disease.
One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and 70 people are diagnosed each day, according to Andrea Seale, CEO of the Canadian Cancer Society.
The Run for the Cure is the number one fundraiser for breast cancer in Canada and since it has been started in 1992; nearly $445 million has been raised in the fight against breast cancer.
