HJB 2007s and 2005s Undefeated at the 2019 Annual Mississauga Border Battle
The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs’ Minor
PeeWee 2007s and Minor Bantam 2005s completed an undefeated weekend at the
Mississauga Border Battle which took place January 25 to 27, 2019.
The SuperSeries Showcase partners with the Mississauga Rebels
to create one of North America’s most competitive events. The Annual
Mississauga Border Battle is a showcase-style event geared mainly toward teams ranked in the
top 12 with the teams either being invited and/or must be approved by the host
in order to participate. Competition is based on putting together an
evenly matched event where teams will play five (5) round-robin games. There
are no playoffs or championship games.
The HJB 2007s worked extremely hard with a win of 5-2 over the Dallas Stars, 4-4 tie with Rochester Monarchs, 2-2 tie with the New Jersey Colonials, 1-1 tie with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres and a win of 5-1 over the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The HJB 2005s had a remarkable weekend performance with a win of 2-0 over the Philadelphia Jr. Flyers, a win of 3-1 over Little Caesars, a win of 2-1 over Belle Tire, a 3-2 win over Madison Capitals and a 0-0 tie with Syracuse Nationals.
Congratulations to the Players and Coaching Staff of both Teams! The HJB Club is very proud of the way these Teams came together throughout this showcase weekend.
