Submitted By Dianne Skirving on Sunday, December 02, 2018
The Annual CTA and STA Midget All-Star Game took place on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 3:30pm at Central Arena in Burlington, ON.

The Midget All-Star Teams were made up of selected players from the CTA (Brampton 45s, Grey-Bruce Highlanders, Halton Hurricanes and Oakville) and the STA (Buffalo Regals, Burlington Eagles, Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs, Niagara North Stars and Southern Tier Admirals) of the SCTA League.

It was a very close and exciting game with the first goal being scored by the CTA in the 2nd period with the STA tying it up shortly after.  The game was still tied at 1-1 at the end of the second period.  The CTA went ahead 2 to 1 in 3rd and STA chipped a goal in to tie up the game.  With the game still tied at the end of regulation time the game went into a sudden death 5-minute 3 on 3 overtime.  The CTA scored the winning goal at 3 minutes into the overtime for a CTA victory of 3 to 2.

At the end of the game the SCTA Selection Panel met to make the selections of the Players who will represent the SCTA Midget All-Star Team when they play against the ETA Midget All-Star Team.  Ryan Burke – Forward, Thomas Lenart – Forward, Jacob McEachern – Forward and Matthew Homer – Defence have been selected and will be representing the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs on the SCTA Midget All-Star Team.

The SCTA Midget All-Star Team will face off against the ETA Midget All-Star Team on Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 12:00 PM during the SCTA Minor Midget Showcase taking place at the 16 Mile Sports Complex in Oakville on Saturday, December 8, 2018 and Sunday, December 9, 2018.
