Jr. Bulldogs 2018-19 Head Coach Announcement Adam Syring – 2004 Bantam
Adam Syring started his history of coaching
Minor Hockey in the City of Hamilton during 2002/2003 season. By 2008, Adam moved up to serve as Head Coach
for a Minor Atom AAA team. Since that time Adam has been coaching in the AAA
system in Hamilton and this will be his 6th season with the Hamilton Jr.
Bulldogs organization.
Adam's philosophy centers on skill
development and team commitment. He strives to give his players the opportunity
to gain confidence in their abilities to be successful for themselves and the
team.
When Adam was asked, “How would you describe yourself as a Coach?” he replied “As a Coach I always think back to what I liked and didn’t like about my Coaches playing hockey and I try to continue the positive things that made me love the game so much. I try to teach these kids about hockey and life while reminding them that this is a game we should love and want to play. In today’s society kids have a lot of pressure and we try to take pressure away from the kids and tell them to have fun and enjoy these moments as the working world will be here before they know it.”
Adam believes that it is important to teach the players about working together for a common goal and how communication is such a key component to life. Adam also believes that community service is an important element for youth to be taught and each year his Team participates in the Hamilton Marathon Road 2 Hope and the Hockey Fights Cancer charitable fundraiser his Team initiated 3 years ago and which is held annually at the HJB Hockey Tournament in December. He is hopeful that these life lessons will be something that his players will take with them well beyond their minor hockey years.
The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs are pleased to welcome back Adam Syring as the Head Coach of the 2004 Bantam AAA Team and we are sure that he will continue to enthusiastically lead his Team to excel and grow by his hockey experience and his personal example.
