Jr. Bulldogs 2018-19 Head Coach Announcement Gene Mirabelli – 2007 MINOR PEEWEE
Submitted By Dianne Skirving on Thu 02 15, 18
Gene Mirabelli comes to the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs with over 30 years experience behind the benches of teams from minor hockey to junior hockey.

Some highlights of Gene’s achievements are 3 Niagara District Regional Championships, an OMHA Semi-Finalist, 2 OMHA Finalists and 2 OMHA Championships.  Gene shared that some of the players that he has coached over the years played at a higher level. A few, such as Frank Caprice, Rick Natress, Dave Andreychuk, Joe and Carmen Cirella played in the NHL, some played in the AHL, quite a few played Jr. Hockey, College Hockey and a few went to Europe to play.

Gene will be bringing with him Rick Vandermolen, who Gene coached with during the past 3 seasons in Flamborough Minor Hockey Association’s Minor Bantam AA and Bantam AA Teams.

Rick Vandermolen has had a successful coaching career which began in the USA where he has coached both a Midget Tier 1 and a High School Varsity team to State Titles. In Canada, Rick has coached Junior Hockey in British Columbia for both the Richmond Sockeyes and Queens Park Pirates one of which had become Provincial, and Western Champions.   He has had the honour to coach many players who have gone on to play various levels of college or professional hockey.  Rick is happy to coach with Gene again this year and being selected to the Jr. Bulldogs Coaching Staff.

Eugene and Rick are looking to be a positive influence to their young athletes this year while being able to continue the skill development and teamwork needed to compete at this level.

The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs are pleased to welcome Gene and Rick to the 2007 Minor PeeWee AAA Team for the upcoming 2018/2019 season.
