Novice Jr. Bulldogs Are Making Christmas Brighter
The
Novice Jr. Bulldogs’ Coaching Staff and Parents decided that it would be a
great opportunity for their Novice Players to learn the value of a making a
difference in their community by embracing the spirit of giving and sponsoring
a Family for Christmas in lieu of a Team Christmas Party.
The
Novice Jr. Bulldogs’ Family (Coaching Staff, Parents, Players and Siblings)
began their 2017 Countdown to Christmas by contacting one of the Charitable
Agencies in the City of Hamilton and obtaining from the agency a Family of Six
to sponsor. Each Player was assigned a Family Member and the task of purchasing
personalized gifts for this person. The Adults were given a list of food items
and essential household items to purchase.
On Friday, December 15, 2017 the Novice Jr. Bulldogs’ Family got together to launch Operation Holiday Joy with a “wrap” session that ended with over 50 gifts wrapped with the excitement of the Players knowing that their gifts were going to a Family who would be opening them up with excitement and joy.
Helping a family in need is always a meaningful experience, but helping a family during the holidays changes their entire experience of this time of year. The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs’ Family would like to thank the Novice Jr. Bulldogs’ Family for their wonderful gift of giving hope and joy this Christmas to their Christmas Family.
