The Annual CTA and STA Midget All-Star Game took place on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 4:00pm at the Appleby Ice Centre in Burlington, ON.

The Midget All-Star Teams are made up of selected players from the CTA (Brampton 45s, Grey-Bruce Highlanders, Guelph Gryphons, Halton Hurricanes and Oakville) and the STA (Buffalo Regals, Burlington Eagles, Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs, Niagara North Stars and Southern Tier Admirals) of the SCTA League.

The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs were well represented on the STA Midget All-Star Team by (pictured L to R) by #27 Matthew Franzoi, #7 Austin Garofalo, #98 Sean Chisholm and #18 Justin Neiser.

It was a very close and exciting game with the first goal being scored by a Burlington Eagles’ Player and assisted by Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs’ Sean Chisholm.  The game was still tied at 1-1 at the end of the second period.  With 26 seconds remaining in the game the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs line scored the game winner with Matthew Franzoi scoring and Sean Chisholm and Justin Neiser assisting.

At the end of the game a Selection Panel met to make the selections of the Players who will represent the SCTA Midget All-Star Team when they play against the ETA Midget All-Star Team.  Matthew Franzoi and Austin Garafalo were chosen and will be representing the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs on the SCTA Midget All-Star Team.  The SCTA Midget All-Star Team will face off against the ETA Midget All-Star Team on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the SCTA Minor Midget Showcase taking place at the Seymour-Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre in St. Catharines.
