Minor Midgets Win London Green and White Invitational

Congratulations to the Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs Minor Midget Team who won the London Green and White Tournament this past weekend (October 11-13, 2013). The team won the tournament with an impressive 7-0 record.

In Round Robin play, the Dogs defeated the Barrie Colts (4-1), the Kingston Frontenacs (5-0), the Toronto Red Wings (4-1), and the Chatham-Kent Cyclones (4-2).  They then battled the Halton Hurricanes for a 4-2 victory in quarter-final action.  

The highlight of the tournament was the semi final game where the Jr. Bulldogs faced the #1 ranked team in Ontario, the Toronto Marlboros. Both teams were very equally matched, and at the end of regulation the score was tied at 3. After about three and a half minutes of intense back-and-forth action, the Jr. Bulldogs potted the game winner.  The team then went on to defeat the Waterloo Warriors 4-1 in the Championship game to bring the trophy back home to Hamilton.
