Novice Team Win OMHA Medal
Submitted By Webmaster on Wednesday, April 29, 2009
The Hamilton Jr. Bulldogs are proud to announce that Jr. Bulldogs '00 Novice AAA team have brought home the Gold following their thrilling 1-0 win in the OMHA Championship Final against the Clarington Toros.

The final game capped a weekend of outstanding team play with all 17 players contributing to their success.

On Friday the Novice team opened the Tournament with a 4 - 0 win against their league rivals the Welland Tigers. That was followed by a closely contested 3 - 2 loss to the Clarington Toros. Needing two Saturday wins to guarantee a spot in the Gold Medal game, the Jr. Bulldogs responded with a 5 - 2 win over Ajax-Pickering and a 4 - 3 win over York-Simcoe Express.

At the Medal presentation the OMHA representative called upon the Jr. Bulldogs Captain and Assistants to accept the trophy. Coach Chris Hruska announced, "We do not have Captains and Assistants on our team......all 17 of these boys are leaders", upon which the entire team came up to recieve the trophy with pride in their accomplishment.
